Hudson Hotel New York

356 West 58th Street , New York

Urban adventure, daredevil design, and true affordability meet in Hudson, the ultimate lifestyle hotel for the 21st century. Close to Central Park and the theater district, the hotel is a brilliant reflection of the boldness and diversity of the city ? the quintessential New York hotel.

The Hudson is situated on the west side of midtown Manhattan, across from Columbus Circle and Central Park West, and within walking distance to the midtown business, Times Square, Broadway Theaters and great shopping and nightlife

Chartreuse-lit escalators sweep guests to a 40-foot high ivy-covered lobby, an enormous indoor/outdoor private park and a ceiling fresco by world-famous painter Francesco Clemente. Hudson is the next generation of Cheap Chic ? stylish, democratic, affordable, young at heart and utterly cool.

Detailed Description
Location. The Hudson, a Morgans Orignal in New York, N.Y., is located in the center of Manhattan on West 58th Street, one block from Central Park and Columbus Circle. Broadway and Carnegie Hall are less than three blocks away. Fifth Avenue shopping is four blocks from the hotel. Hotel Features. Designed by Studio 54 creator Ian Schrager, the lobby is draped by a forty foot canopy of ivy growing below the glass ceiling. A large chandelier hangs overhead and music plays in the background. The manicured and landscaped Sky Terrace offers panoramic views of the city. The Hudson Cafeteria, offering Ivy League dining but resembling a 1940s automat, serves comfort food with healthy options. Private Park, in the hotel's elevated lobby, resembles Central Park. Food and drinks are served among 45-foot trees and ivy-covered walls. Outdoor heaters and a glass roof make this hideaway enjoyable year round. Two floors of the hotel are devoted to meeting facilities, and wireless Internet access is available in the lobby. Guestrooms. The 1,000 Hudson, a Morgans Original's uestrooms offer are modeled after sea-faring vesels. Designer Felipe Starck furnished the guestrooms with navy-inspired chairs and headboards with steamer-trunk fabric and brass rivets. Beddings provide 250-thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, while the duvets and pillows are made of down. Complimentary newspapers are delivered to the guestrooms. Wireless Internet access is available. Bathrooms include bathrobes and Agua toiletries. Expert Tip. The bar's eclectic décor makes this hotspot a stand out among New York nightlife. Futuristic décor features a hand-painted mural by Francesco Clemente and an illuminated glass floor.
